SPONSORED POST: Boomer Harvey in the Front Bar firing line

Love your footy and looking for a bit of a laugh?

Introducing ‘Friday Front Bar’, a new show headlined by Andy Maher and comedians Mick Molloy and Sam Pang. Presented by Carlton Draught, Front Bar takes a lighter look at the weekly ins and outs on each round of football, along with a couple of laughs.

Brent ‘Boomer’ Harvey was the boy’s latest target this week. The North Melbourne legend’s ‘hard ball gets’ from a ‘gimme’ goal was under inspection in his 427th AFL game, the most by any player in the history of the league. Catch the full clip below.

Turns out even AFL legends still don’t mind a cheeky goal or two.

Harvey lead North Melbourne to a 23 point win over the struggling Saints to keep the Kangaroos finals chances alive heading into the final two weeks of the Premiership season sitting in 8th. However, with Melbourne in ninth breathing down their neck with two back-to-back wins, North Melbourne face two two huge home games against Sydney and the Giants.

Only a win from one of their remaining fixtures will decide if Brad Scott’s men see any action in September. Melbourne, however, will need to do away with the Blues and a resurgent Geelong outfit away to pull off a miracle run to snag the last spot in the 2016 Finals series.

One thing we can be sure of is that we’re in for a ripping Finals series, and a lot more banter from the Front Bar boys before this season is out.
