NRL Round 3 Preview

The Storm held off a fast finishing Bulldogs side in a grand final replay last night. What lies in store for the rest of the round?

Tigers vs Eels

The Eels will travel to Leichardt Oval on Friday night looking like a different side then to previous seasons. The Eels won their first game of the year, smashing the Warriors 40-10 and followed up with a narrow 20-16 loss to the Bulldogs.
The Tigers were awful against the Knights but will take a lot of positives from their win against Penrith last Sunday.

Tip: Eels

Titans vs Sea Eagles

Both teams have shown a lot of positives from the opening couple of rounds. Manly have won both games and the Titans just lost their first game against the Sharks and smashed the Raiders 36-0 on Sunday. However, the Sea Eagles should come away with the win.

Tip: Sea Eagles

Roosters vs Broncos

Neither team has shown anything great in the first couple of weeks. Both teams lost the first round but won the second. The Roosters’ Michael Jennings is looking very dangerous and could be the match winner.

Tip: Roosters

Sharks vs Warriors

It’s been another tough few weeks for the Sharks off-field, but they’ve shown plenty of heart on the field, winning against the Titans and just losing to the Rabbitohs. The NZ Warriors played awfully against the Eels, but almost won against the Roosters. However the Sharks will be too strong.

Tip: Sharks

Panthers vs Rabbitohs

This shapes as a cracking game. The Panthers have been alright with a strong win and a loss, while the Rabbitohs are continuing the fine form of 2012.

Tip: Rabbitohs

Raiders vs Dragons

It’s fair to say the Raiders have been deplorable so far, with a 22 point loss to Penrith and a 36-0 loss to the Titans. The Dragons dropped the first to Melbourne, but had a strong win against the Broncos last Friday night. They should take the points in this one.

Tip: Dragons

Knights vs Cowboys

This should be a great game to end what shapes as a ripping weekend of footy. Both teams have won one and lost one. Cowboy superstar Jonhathan Thurston is one of the best players in the world and he is showing why, and is vital to his side’s performance.

Tip: Cowboys
