Lotus Racings’
Kimi Raikkonen has won the opening race of the
2013 Formula One season at the Australian Grand
Prix.

Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso and Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel
rounded out second and third on the podium, while Felipe
Massa, Lewis Hamilton, Mark Webber, Adrian Sutil, Paul Di Resta,
Jenson Button and Romain Grosjean rounded out the top
10.

Australia’s Mark Webber was disappointing with
an all too familiar result, finishing 6th after yet another bad
start from the front of the grid. Fellow Aussie and Red Bull driver
Daniel Ricciardo was forced to retire from the race with Engine
problems.

Raikkonen
said he was happy with his first race of the season.

“I had doubts because it’s the
first race. You don’t know how it’s going to go, how the tyres are
going to be”, said Raikkonen. “I have a good car. Had a feeling it
was going to be a good race.”
